The DataSensing C18 Series is a family of cylindrical capacitive proximity sensors designed to detect a broad range of materials including metals, plastics, liquids, powders, and granular substances. Unlike inductive sensors, which only detect metal, capacitive sensors like the C18 Series sense changes in capacitance when any material enters the sensor’s electrical field. With an M18 threaded housing, the C18 Series offers easy integration into automated systems and industrial machinery for tasks such as material presence detection, level sensing, packaging quality monitoring, and process control.
Built for demanding industrial environments, C18 sensors feature IP67 mechanical protection and robust housing materials to withstand dust, splash, and vibration. The series provides adjustable sensitivity so users can fine‑tune detection according to the specific material and installation conditions.
