The DataSensing FA Series is a versatile family of M18 cylindrical photoelectric sensors designed to provide dependable object and presence detection in a wide variety of industrial automation applications. This series includes diffuse, polarized or non‑polarized retro‑reflective, through‑beam, emitter/receiver pairs and background suppression models, offering sensing ranges from a few centimeters up to about 20 m depending on the optic type and configuration. FA Series sensors are available with axial or radial optics and either plastic or metal housings with IP67 protection, enabling rugged performance in factory floors, packaging lines, conveyor systems and general material handling environments.
Designed for flexible integration into automated systems, the FA Series supports a 10 – 30 V DC supply, multiple electrical output options including PNP, NPN or emitter outputs with complementary NO/NC contacts, and sensitivity adjustment via a front trimmer on many variants. Built‑in electrical protections such as reverse polarity and short‑circuit immunity improve reliability, while clear dual LEDs for power and output status facilitate setup and troubleshooting.
