The DataSensing IL1 Series is a range of miniature cubic inductive proximity sensors designed for reliable metal object detection in compact automation environments. Featuring a compact housing of approximately 10 × 28 × 16 mm, these sensors are ideal for installations where space is limited such as robotic systems, automated assembly equipment, packaging machinery, and precision manufacturing applications. The IL1 sensors detect metallic objects without physical contact by generating an electromagnetic field and sensing changes when metal targets enter the detection zone.
The series supports both flush (shielded) and non flush (unshielded) mounting options, providing sensing distances of approximately 3 mm for shielded versions and up to 6 mm for unshielded versions. Multiple output configurations including PNP or NPN with NO or NC switching allow easy integration with PLC and industrial control systems. Built with IP67 protection and full electrical protection features, the IL1 Series ensures stable and reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
