The DataSensing S65 Series is a versatile family of universal compact photoelectric sensors designed for robust object detection across industrial automation, packaging, material handling, and processing applications. Housed in a durable 65 × 65 × 25 mm body with IP67 protection, the S65 Series delivers dependable sensing performance with multiple optical detection principles including diffuse proximity, polarized retro‑reflective, background suppression, through‑beam, and contrast mark sensing, allowing users to select the most suitable sensing method for challenging targets such as transparent, reflective, or textured surfaces. These sensors support adjustable sensitivity via potentiometers or push‑button TEACH‑IN setup and feature clear LED indicators for power and output state to simplify installation and alignment.

Designed to integrate seamlessly into modern automation systems, the S65 Series offers versatile electrical interfaces with configurable PNP/NPN outputs, built‑in electrical protections including reverse polarity and short‑circuit immunity, and optional IO‑Link connectivity on selected models for remote parameterization and diagnostic monitoring. With a wide sensing range that varies by function and model, these sensors are suitable for applications from short‑distance presence detection to long‑range object sensing, providing reliable detection functionality and flexible configuration in a single compact platform.
