The DataSensing UFK1 Series is a range of rugged industrial ultrasonic sensors in a full‑metal M18 cylindrical housing designed for use in harsh environments including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and other demanding applications where liquid ingress, washdown or aggressive agents are present. These sensors are built with AISI 316L stainless steel bodies and sealed to high protection ratings (IP68 and IP69K) to withstand extreme washdown and cleaning procedures without damage. ECOLAB certification on select models validates resistance to common industrial cleaning agents and sanitizers, making them suitable for hygienic and Clean‑In‑Place (CIP) environments.
The UFK1 Series employs high‑frequency ultrasonic technology to detect objects and measure distances without physical contact, offering reliable detection performance even on shiny, transparent or uneven surfaces. Multiple variants are available with different sensing distances (for example UFK1A for short ranges and UFK1B for longer ranges), and output configurations include standard PNP, voltage or current analog outputs as well as IO‑Link enabled versions for remote configuration, monitoring and diagnostics. Sensitivity and set‑up can be performed via IO‑Link or external teach‑in inputs, allowing for flexible installation and tuning to specific application needs.
