The DataSensing UH Series ultrasonic sensors are compact industrial through‑beam style sensors in a cubic plastic housing designed for reliable object detection in applications where space is limited. These sensors consist of separate emitter and receiver ports mounted at a 90‑degree angle, providing accurate detection over short and medium distances. The UH Series is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and features robust protection against electrical damage and environmental challenges encountered in automation systems and material handling installations. Typical variants offer sensing distances from about 300 mm up to around 1100 mm, depending on model and configuration.
Output configurations across the UH Series include PNP and NPN digital outputs with normally open or normally closed switching functions. The Series also includes thermal compensation to maintain stable performance over the industrial temperature range and LED indicators to provide visual feedback on alignment and output status. While most models do not support teach‑in adjustment, they deliver fast switching (≈ 1 ms response) and a high switching frequency (≈ 500 Hz), suitable for rapid detection tasks in automated production.
