The DataSensing UK1 Series is a line of industrial ultrasonic sensors housed in a standard M18 cylindrical body designed for reliable non‑contact object detection and distance measurement in automation environments. These sensors operate on the principle of emitting ultrasonic waves and detecting the reflected signal from a target to determine presence or distance. The series offers a wide range of sensing distances from short to long ranges and is available with a variety of output configurations including digital (PNP or NPN), analogue (0‑10 V or 4‑20 mA) and mixed output versions. Adjustment of sensing parameters such as hysteresis and working window is performed easily via a built‑in Teach‑in button with visual feedback via multifunction LEDs.
UK1 Series sensors come in either plastic or AISI316L stainless steel housings with IP67 protection for harsh industrial environments. Options include models with direct diffuse or retro‑reflective sensing modes, varied connector types (M12 plug or fixed cable) and advanced features such as IO‑Link support in select variants.
