The DataSensing UT Series is a flexible range of industrial ultrasonic sensors in a robust M30 cylindrical housing designed for long‑distance object detection and distance measurement in automation applications. These sensors operate on ultrasonic wave reflection for reliable performance even in harsh environments where dust, dirt or irregular surfaces might limit optical sensors. The UT Series includes models with diffuse reflective sensing and large front transducers for extended ranges, supporting a wide selection of outputs such as digital (PNP or NPN), analog (voltage or current), mixed outputs and IO‑Link for advanced configuration and diagnostics. Adjustment of sensing parameters and working modes can be performed via a Teach‑in button or remote Teach‑in cable for quick and simple set‑up in the field.
These sensors are built with plastic or AISI 316L stainless steel housings with IP67 protection for water and dust resistance, and include multifunction LEDs to indicate output state and alignment during adjustment. Variants in the UT Series cover a broad sensing distance range from several hundred millimetres to several metres, making them suitable for applications in industrial automation, material handling, level detection, robotics and general presence or distance monitoring. With multiple connection options including M12 connectors or fixed cables, the UT Series offers flexible integration into control systems.
