The Hokuyo LAV-10P hot metal detector system uses a laser-based through-beam optical method with a rugged FHM-211-1 sensor head and FHV-321 2 m heat-resistant fiber to detect large steel materials (φ100 mm or more) at long range (up to 50 m) in harsh industrial environments such as steel mills and process lines. Reliable control and warning outputs, adjustable response modes, and robust industrial tolerances make it suitable for presence and position detection of hot metal products.
