The SENPUM LA2‑S Series is a family of ultra‑compact laser through‑beam sensors built for reliable object detection in tight spaces and compact installations. These sensors use a high‑quality red laser emitter to achieve stable detection performance even with very small targets (down to approximately 0.5 mm diameter) and extended distances up to about 1 meter or more in certain models. The small M6‑mount sensing head significantly saves installation space and enables fast, easy fixing directly with screws, making the series suitable for applications such as component presence detection, fast part inspection, and small part alignment where conventional photoelectric sensors might not fit or perform.

LA2‑S Series sensors are digital output, through‑beam type units available in both NPN and PNP configurations, and they include built‑in protections such as over‑current, short‑circuit, and over‑voltage protection to ensure dependable operation in industrial environments. With quick 1 ms response time, rugged housings, and ambient light tolerance up to 10 000 lux (daylight) or 3 000 lux (incandescent), these sensors provide robust detection across varied factory automation conditions.
