The SENPUM LA-ZB Series is a family of background suppression type laser sensors designed for reliable reflective object detection in industrial automation applications. These sensors combine laser light emission with background-suppression signal processing so that detection is independent of object color or surface reflectivity, allowing stable sensing even when targets and backgrounds are similar in visual appearance. The LA-ZB Series targets applications such as presence detection, part verification, and object tracking on conveyor lines or production machines.
Key features of the LA-ZB Series include an ultra-small blind spot (less than 5 mm) that enables detection very close to installation surfaces, true black and white isometric performance (minimal influence from target color), and extremely small laser spot sizes down to approx. Φ0.5 mm for high-precision sensing of small or thin objects. These sensors also offer robust industrial protections, IP67 ingress rating, and simple key-based sensitivity adjustment.
