The Baumer CleverLevel® LBFS-2 Hanging is a robust point level sensor specifically designed for reliable detection of bulk solids in storage vessels, silos and hoppers. It uses CleverLevel frequency sweep technology to detect changes in the dielectric constant of the medium, delivering highly stable switching behaviour for a wide range of solids with DC > 1.5. With adjustable damping up to 60 seconds and fast response times around 0.1 seconds, this hanging sensor supports dependable level monitoring in industrial environments where vibration, dust and material adhesion are common.
The hanging version is engineered for flexible installation where top or internal suspension is required. All wetted parts are made from AISI 316L stainless steel and PEEK Natura, providing chemical resistance and compliance with hygienic standards. Output logic is selectable with PNP or NPN and high-active or low-active switching, making it suitable for integration with PLCs, automation controllers and safety systems. Optional approvals include FDA, WHG and explosion protection (ATEX/IECEx) for hazardous atmospheres, enhancing application versatility across industrial and process control environments.
