The Baumer PFMH is a high‑end hygienic pressure sensor and transmitter designed for sanitary process environments such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical and biotechnology production. It features a flush membrane with hygienic standards (3‑A and EHEDG) and FDA‑compliant wetted surfaces, making it suitable for rigorous clean‑in‑place (CIP) and sterilize‑in‑place (SIP) processes. The transmitter is resistant to aggressive cleaning media and can operate at elevated medium temperatures up to 150 °C without a cooling neck and 200 °C with a cooling neck, ensuring reliable performance in demanding hygienic applications.
The PFMH includes an integrated touch‑screen display (optional CombiView DFON graphical interface) that simplifies local configuration and realtime visualization of process values. It can be programmed directly via the touch screen or with Baumer’s FlexProgrammer 9701 software. The sensor supports various outputs including 4 … 20 mA, 4 … 20 mA with HART® and additional configurable relay outputs. Optional intrinsic safety and explosion protection certifications are also available, enabling use in hazardous area installations.
