The Baumer TE2 is a compact RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) temperature sensor and transmitter designed for reliable process temperature measurement in industrial and hygienic environments. It uses high‑quality platinum RTD elements (Pt100) or an integrated 4…20 mA transmitter, which can be programmed for span and output behavior using Baumer’s FlexProgrammer 9701. The rugged stainless steel housing and configurable immersion depths make it suitable for installations in tanks, pipes, vessels, and other process systems where precise temperature control is critical.
Built for broad applicability, the TE2 supports a wide temperature range from approximately –50 °C up to 250 °C depending on process connection and configuration, and it can be equipped with hygienic fittings for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical process integration. Optional elements such as cooling necks, double sensors, and different electrical connections increase installation flexibility.
