The ESPE ESE Series is a Type 4 safety light curtain designed for high‑level personnel protection around hazardous machinery. It complies with IEC 61496‑1/‑2 Type 4 and ISO 13849‑1 Category 4 / PL e safety standards and carries relevant Type 4 certification, offering robust performance for demanding industrial applications such as robotic cells, presses, and automated production lines. Its design incorporates internal MCU redundancy, periodic self‑inspection and cross‑inspection, and independent dual‑loop safety outputs to ensure continued safe operation even if a single component fails.

The series features wire synchronization technology to reduce interference from external infrared light and high resistance to electromagnetic disturbance. The housing is IP65 rated aluminum alloy for reliable operation in industrial environments, with multiple beam spacings and resolutions to match different protective heights and application needs. Its strong anti‑vibration and vibration resistance characteristics help maintain detection integrity under real‑world conditions.
