The Turck Banner ED1G-L20MB-1N / ED1G-L21SMB-1N are ergonomic three-position enabling switches designed for safe manual control of machinery during setup, maintenance or troubleshooting operations. These devices function as a hold-to-run safety control, allowing operators to enable machine movement only when the switch is held in its intermediate position. Releasing the switch or pressing it fully immediately stops the machine, ensuring maximum operator safety during manual operation.

Designed in a handheld grip format, the ED1G series provides comfortable and secure operation with an additional pushbutton for functions such as reset or jog control. The devices feature robust thermoplastic housing with IP65 protection, making them suitable for industrial environments. With dual NO safety contacts and additional auxiliary contacts, these enabling switches are widely used in robotics, machine setup, teach mode operations and maintenance tasks where controlled movement is required.
