The ESPE ESN Series is an economical Type 2 safety light curtain designed for general‑purpose safety guarding of machinery where space, cost, and basic protection are key considerations. It conforms to IEC 61496‑1/‑2 Type 2 safety standards with Cat.2 / PL c performance under ISO 13849‑1 and SIL 1 level, providing reliable non‑contact presence detection suitable for a wide range of lower‑risk automation and machine applications. The series offers multiple beam spacings, resolutions, and sizes that cover protective heights from small to large areas, making it adaptable for universal use across packaging machines, conveyors, press access, and general industrial safety guarding.

Built with through‑beam optical detection, robust protective circuitry, and wire synchronization to guard against external infrared interference, the ESN Series delivers dependable performance with easy installation and maintenance. Its aluminum alloy housing with IP65 rating ensures durability in industrial environments. Typical sensing distances reach up to 30 m depending on the model, offering flexibility for different installation requirements while keeping overall costs low.
