The ESPE ESRS Series Safety Control Module is a programmable safety control device designed to monitor a range of safety devices such as emergency stop buttons, safety door switches, safety light curtains, safety mats, two‑hand controls, and similar inputs to implement machine safety logic based on application needs. It is engineered to meet ISO 13849‑1 Category 4 / Performance Level e (PL e) safety requirements, providing robust redundancy and self‑diagnosis features for high safety integrity in industrial automation environments. The module supports multiple safety inputs and delivers both relay outputs and semiconductor outputs for flexible interfacing with external safety actuators and safety circuits.
The ESRS Series includes intuitive status indicators for simple operational diagnostics and detachable terminals for easy maintenance. It accepts up to six safety inputs, offers two normally open relay outputs, and four PNP transistor outputs for signal interfacing. The configurable control logic enables custom safety logic to match different safety requirements across applications such as guarding stations, machine cells, and centralized safety networks.
