The ReeR Mosaic Safety Controller is a modular and configurable safety programmable logic controller (safety PLC) designed to manage and monitor multiple safety devices within industrial automation systems. It acts as a central safety unit that processes inputs from devices such as safety light curtains, emergency stops, safety switches and two-hand controls, and ensures safe machine operation by controlling safety outputs. The Mosaic system is built around a master unit (such as M1 or M1S) with optional expansion modules, allowing users to scale the system based on application complexity from small standalone machines to large multi-zone safety systems.
The Mosaic controller supports SIL3 and PL e Cat.4 safety levels, making it suitable for high-risk applications. It features a graphical configuration software, enabling users to program safety logic using function blocks without complex coding. The system also supports multiple fieldbus communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and Modbus for integration with PLCs and industrial networks. With its flexible architecture, DIN rail mounting and wide range of I/O expansion options, the Mosaic controller is widely used in machinery safety, robotics, packaging lines and automated production systems.
