Reliable Parallel Optical Data Transmission for Short-Range Industrial Communication

The Hokuyo DMS-HA1-V, DMS-HA2-V, DMS-HB1-V, and DMS-HB2-V are parallel optical data transmission devices designed to enable reliable short-range infrared communication for industrial automation systems such as AGV/AMR interlocks, carrier communication, and distributed I/O signaling. They support either 4-bit (HA models) or 8-bit (HB models) parallel signal transmission over distances up to 1 m or 3 m with selectable angular coverage to suit installation direction. All units provide half-duplex two-way transmission, parity check error detection, and are IP64 rated with robust resistance to vibration, impact, and ambient light — making them well-suited for reliable indoor data links between mobile units and fixed stations.
